Graphic Design & Art Direction MA Graduate. I am a creative. I create imagery. I find myself in the in-between, working in different mediums depending on the project. Sometimes I create work manually, illustrate, photograph or screen print.
My personal work follows my interest in food, food illustration and graphic design surrounding food. In recent projects I have created menus and cookbooks. I have always based a lot of my art print work on food and commissions I have taken have been based on snacks. I love the idea of community and culture around the dinner table.
I have worked on a variety of projects, from styling to publication. I have created my own zines, working on every aspect of publication design myself. I run my own online store where I create all the branding, POS and social media as well as sell illustrated art prints through my store website and also in various shops in Manchester.
I have experience in PR & social media, creating content, scheduling and managing posts. Although this isn't always a creative role, I have developed skills such as identifying and catering to an audience, establishing trends and analysing what works.
My varied experience and skills allow me to bring in solutions that aren't always obvious and to work in a more creative and free way. This mix of disciplines is something I champion as it shows innovation and flexibility within my practice.
Projects
- Illustrations and Graphics for MUDAssisting MUD in creating a new visual identity through graphics and illustrations. I used elements and visuals from daily tasks at the urban farm and translated them into imagery. I hoped to sum up the tone, values and ethos of the company and I believe these illustrations achieve this.
- PFMG T shirt & IllustrationsWorking with PFMG and MUD (community led urban farm project) to create illustrations that sum up their ethos and work as a T-shirt Design. Using words and imagery inspired by Gerrard Winstanley, where the company took their name from (The diggers) to create a composition that felt true to them and what they do. I also took inspiration from the Garden itself, taking elements from the stained glass windows and the produce they grow. The T-shirt design will be sold to raise funds for the garden a
