Works closely with the PR, Marketing and New Business team to generate business for the company, market existing projects and promote Checkland Kindleysides across the design industry. Responsibilities include; creating and planning content for social channels, writing copy for PR documents (including press releases and award entries), crafting presentations, creating brand tools and guidelines and owning prospecting activities - seeking out opportunities that are aligned to our business plan. Since joining Checkland Kindleysides I have built on my existing marketing skills, gained experience in PR and New Business and developed my knowledge of the business operations - learning how to succinctly and successfully work within an agency environment. I’ve also benefitted from a direct line of communication with the board of directors, having criterial input on important projects.
Responsible for activating and running campaigns with the intention to enhance university life by bringing Spotify to campus. Key skills developed through the experience include social media awareness, the ability to host and promote successful Spotify supported events as well as an increased understanding of the marketing techniques used by high profile businesses.
Involvement in the University’s open days. Main duties include representing the Fashion department and discussing the university and the courses with prospective students, as well as partaking in trips to Manchester and London to represent the university at ‘Design Your Future’ expositions.
Experience working on a busy city bar whilst at university. Key responsibilities include serving customers, food distribution, opening and closing the bar, writing and running a weekly pub quiz as well as managing the pub’s social media accounts.
