Simon Lane directs beautifully human, visual, musical and impactful films in the form of TVC’s, content for brands, charities, social causes and always with human stories at their heart. He does all of this with passion and dedication for both the people in his films and the craft of film making.
Simon has directed a number of award winning short films, including ‘Borderlands’ - which opened the BAFTA recognised festival Aesthetica, he received a UKMVA nomination for 'All I Wanted' a live music session with artist ‘Daughter’ and a number of his films have been featured on Vimeo Staff Picks. (That’s like an online BAFTA right?)

- Channel 4's Random ActsIn 2016 Channel 4 relaunched its short film platform Random Acts, both online and with its own TV show presented by Eric Wareheim. We also set up a ‘First Acts’ category which enables young aspiring directors to access funding & mentorship to create their first short.
