(Egmont UK Ltd) and 7x7 San Francisco (McEvoy Group).
Responsible for the editorial coverage of the soaps EastEnders, Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks, Neighbours, Home and Away and Doctors for this TV listings magazine which sells almost 1 million copies per week. Work through good press/PR contacts to arrange studio set visits, cast interview opportunities and for advance TV production news. Providing additional editorial content for the magazine’s website including presenting on/off camera video interviews, news stories, photo galleries and red carpet reporting from The British Soap Awards.
Worked with an Editor, design and technical team to provide online editorial content for this kids' channel, aimed at 8-16 year olds. Plus pre-school content for the NickJr website featuring favourite characters including Blue's Clues, Dora The Explorer and Peppa Pig. Also managed a small team of freelance contributors, editorial budget and did prize sourcing for online competitions.
I reported on a mix of British, American and Australian TV shows for the then fortnightly magazine including Baywatch, Brookside, The Bill and Heartbeat. Other duties included answering readers’ letters, tracking down long-lost TV stars and contributing to various one-shot special issues of the magazine.
