Since Curious Duke Gallery’s start up phase I have developed targeted and integrated marketing campaigns, including securing media coverage in key publications including The Metro, TimeOut, London Live and The Londonist. Additionally, I manage the website and I am responsible for content writing (http://curiousdukegallery.com/blog) ensuring that the website is regularly updated with relevant, innovative content such as panel discussions from our artists and leading figures, interviews, reading lists and articles making the art world accessible to all. I manage email marketing, including generating marketing collateral and MailChimp campaigns to send to our press contacts and collectors: maintaining good relationships with the press, ensuring effective relationship management and upkeep of databases to make the most of our contacts is essential. I consistently build links within the sector and amongst art buyers through Twitter, Buffer, Facebook, and Campus Society.
Working as part of a small team over two and a half years across Enfield Libraries has afforded me skills in working under pressure efficiently. Given cuts in budgets I had to be flexible in the way I work and been able to take on changing responsibilities daily. For example, moving from primarily dealing with customers and their queries effectively to helping to organise children’s events and money handling. I enjoy working as part of a team to provide good customer experiences with a strong awareness of health and safety and disability practices, and support my colleagues to do so. I love to work in environments where I am able to meet new and varied people and can ensure that they enjoy their time in your establishment.
