- YCN- UK GreetingsThe brief was to design your own collection of greeting cards, notepads, and gift dressing. Specifying 2 cards, 1 notecard set, 1 gift bag 1 pattern wrap, and 1 notepad cover. My response to this brief was endangered animals, specifically Lemurs. Lemurs are one of my favorite animals and not one many knows are endangered. I wanted to create something cute while also being informative. Within this brief, I illustrated and designed multiple lemurs as well as a logo for the collection and patterns
- Self directed brief- Penguin book covers.Inspired by my love for the penguin student design brief, I created my own using books of my choice. For this, I picked Dracula and followed with two more well known gothic horror novels: Dr. Jekyll and Hyde, Frankenstein. Again using lino printing and digital within my pieces is something I really love doing as my own style. Each book illustration was created from lino prints and digitally edited with text. I chose to keep a blue and red colour scheme throughout all 3 books to tie them all tog
- Just one thing - CoalA brief created to explore one object in its entirety and create something visual. I picked a piece of coal and collated a 16 page 2m long print with the information I gathered from the national coal mining museum as well as using imagery from microscopic images of coal. I used lino print and digital to create this piece. The piece was inspired by Craig Oldham and his book on the miners strikes displayed within the coal mining museum.
