I am a practicing artist and educator from India. Interacting with Bangalore’s ever changing, ever-growing residents with their multi-lingual, cultural, economic backgrounds, she has become a mapmaker of sorts. The idea of mapping the desires, hopes, needs, dreams and disparities of this city from my particular vantage point has been born out of my desire to establish reference points for my own personal memories. As a video artist, I am both a purveyor of information, and a storyteller, and like the mapmaker challenged by taking the mundane and everyday, and unraveling and reassembling these details into visible intricacies.
I have a background in Communication Design from the Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology in India and I earned an MFA from NSCAD University in Canada.
