After one year of university and writing for the university magazine Schamper I wanted to dive into the cultural scene itself. Because the online editor was leaving for Barcelona, I took her place. Being all-over green, I had no idea how to work with html, dreamweaver, etc. But after some time, I successfully uploaded content to the website and send out the mailing list.
After one year, someone else took over this job so I could focus on my work as Chief of Culture at Schamper. I still write small texts to accompany the events on the website and magazine.

In my master year New Media, I officially interned at Subbacultcha to lead a small-scale innovation research project. In my master, I learned how to conduct innovation research, from UX-design to focus groups. The research consisted of in-depth interviews with 19 members, 10 non-members and 5 ex-members of Subbacultcha in Brussels, Ghent and Antwerp. After speaking to all these people, I analysed the results and pitched them to the team. We then brainstormed and formed an action plan to improve the membership offer.

Master of Science in New Media and Society in Europe

I am currently finishing a master's degree New Media & Society. This study focuses on innovation, new businessmodels and especially the rol of users. What I love about this field of study, is the fact that you can give your own spin to it. Therefore I can apply my cultural interest into my studies. Specifically, I want to focus on innovations in the cultural industry, new ways to incorporate digital into culture. For example, my bachelor paper subject was the adoption of online platforms We Are Public and online cultural platform in general.
