About me

Hello! I'm Soňa, graphic designer & illustrator. I have a solid educational foundation and passion for graphic design, printmaking, illustration, book design, web design, animation, site-specific installation, contemporary art, music and literature. I completed the master’s program at the Department of Graphics and Other Media at The Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava (Slovakia). Furthermore, I was an exchange student at the Department of Communication Design at Designskolen in Kolding, (Denmark). Shortly after graduation, I moved to London where I spent an amazing 5 years. 2021 marked the start of a big new adventure in Rotterdam, Netherlands with creative agency Havana Harbor. I have a strong interest in all design disciplines and actively seek out opportunities to learn and challenge myself. Thanks to my varied experiences, I have developed my skills in different areas of graphic design and illustration, including website templates, brand visual identity or marketing materials like posters and brochures, etc. I’ve also recently started developing a personal art project “Sonda & Sin” where a close friend and I produce original screen prints in small-batch limited editions.   T-shirtsI've been working on a limited collection of t-shirts and bags for multicultural community centre Karnola in Hranice (Czech Republic). I created a set of illustrations which were screen printed on the t-shirts, then digital content for the fundraising campaign on social media.
• Beta Visual IdentityLogo and layout of an annual planner "Beta"
• Sonda & SinWe are a duo of lifelong friends living in London who have decided to share our journey through life with you - someone else who feels connected to the emotions and experiences we convey through our unique screen printed designs. • Umakart- Book design & illustrationThis is a special project of collaboration between me and Czech writer Stanislav Klín. We created a collection of his poetry. I made illustrations – hand made prints (linocut & woodcut), then digital postproduction and the whole layout of the book with typography.
