  • 120m
120mA 120m apartment, situated in the city of Volos in Greece. It’s a project realized after many reunions with the owners. What I always try with apartment projects is to create homes, places not made for me but for my clients and that’s why I try to know them more and pass more time with them and understand how they imagine their new place. In this case the clients wanted to apply a british industrial style in their apartment. Since the beginning it was a difficult project because of the bad dis
  • Undefined Fusion
Undefined FusionUndefined fusion This is a piece where on a macroscopic way i represent and illustrate the idea that the human body is surrounded by tangible and intangible layers. It is shown how these layers react to each other, how they react with the human body and how both layers and the human body react with the space. And finally it all comes together on a wall. It's like a fusion of the inside with the outside, and the “now” with the “before”. There is a depth but its limits are not understood... The reality with non-reality becomes one. Projected in 1: 1 scale causes confusion and invites the viewer to interact with it. “Undefined fusion” is my first intention to come out of the paper and little sketches, to a bigger scale and use my body and the place around me. The final result was managed after many hours filming on me under big pieces of plastic layers. https://vimeo.com/109921305
  • Testigo
TestigoTestigo My intention with this work was to talk about how time passes through an object, accompanying space and people. The stories that an object can tell us ... and how we can bring back to the present things that have been lost over time. Retrieve the texture of those things, recover the memory. Connect moments. The desk is an object that has gone through different stages, four generations, two countries, five cities and a village, six houses, a war etc. That desk is the thread of connection between these different layers. This is a piece charged with much history and emotions and that’s why i tried to treat it with respect. What I do is to uncover. To make it visible. Expose is using the media that I have here in Barcelona, with only a photo of it, made from my mother in the corner where it is situated in the moment. Also, next to the photo, I add a small book (DIN A5) which is is registered with the history and data found in the desk of my family. It is an attempt that i made during the year 2013 and 2014 and after the search for the origins of his family. This is a text found in the table, which was started by my grandfather’s father and then continued writing my grandfather and my mother and later follow the firstborn sons in every generation, as commanded the first owner of the table. A detailed trip to the past ... There are captured the photographs of the text and the points where the person writing changes. The selection of that desk was done after a big analisis of a lot of objects that have been conserved until today by several members of my family.
  • Past In Front
Past In FrontPast In Front This is an installation that sums up my artistic work of the last two years. It is a work that talks about memory, specific moments and how they can affect the image of the present. We tend to hide the past, but it continues being part of the identity of things ... "Past in front" was created with the desire to turn and look back to what's in the past because the past has a major role to the creation of the image of things. Expose the invisible and bring it to the present is the aim of this work. A work that connects the concept of memory with my own past, experiences both mine and my ancestors’ that are important for me and have been factors in the creation of my identity. In this work concepts such as past and present, reality and non-reality, presence with absence, the known and the unknown are merged. Also concepts such as intimacy and distrust or the inside and the outside, talk to each other. It is a personal project explaining a memory that goes far beyond childhood. It's like a tunnel where once you enter and you are going through it, they start appearing one after another, the items were left in the dark. As material, I use layers once again which in this case are nightgowns. The three nightgowns of the first night of the weddings of my great grandmother, my grandmother and my mother appear one after the other representing the past. As a last layer is the projection of my body representing the present . Special thanks to my supervisor and teacher Xavier Arenós.
  • Show Room
Show RoomThis is a project realized during my University studies. It was asked to choose a designer and then create a project that would be his show room. I decided to create the showroom for Issey Miyake, a fashion designer that I admire because of the way he works and the strategies that he follows for the creation of his clothes. After analyzing Issey Miyake’s work I decided to adapt the method that he uses for the creation of the “Pleats Please” brand. He starts with a paper and origami forms and then these forms become clothes. In my case I started working on the same way but my final aim was to apply that origami in the space that was already designated by the teacher. The final result is a clear space, where the “pleats” are obvious and where what gets more importance is clothing. Also, it is a comfortable space for both the visitor and customer as well for staff, thanks to several construction details and facilities designed especially for this show room.
  • no stress
no stressThis project concerns the proposal for the creation of the internal space of an Editorial Digital enterprise. It was asked, apart from interior design, to choose the type of business, to imagine the philosophy of the company and the relations between workers, managers and collaborators, to create a logo etc. Nowadays, a time that most of the percentage of workers cannot escape from the routine of every day, and almost always working is something not so enjoyable… It is true that almost everyone would like to work from home or to work in a space that could remind of home. A place where we would feel comfortable and free. And why not create workspaces that are like our home? Well I decided to do this. Create an alternative work space and try to approach ''home'' creating a nice, cozy, comfortable and free environment.
