I am the Sales Manager for the territories of Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa, and Oceania for PennWell’s Hydro Group. I sell media (magazine & digital) for PennWell's Hydro brands. I also sell exhibit space and sponsorships for HydroVision International and HydroVision Brazil. PennWell’s Hydro Group is the world’s largest provider of hydro information and events, and has the biggest magazine and e-newsletter subscriber base and event attendance in the global hydro market sector. Hydro is part of PennWell’s overall power brand portfolio, and benefits from being “sister” magazines, websites, e-newsletters, and events with other power generation and transmission/distribution brands. Key Responsibilities: • Generate sales for the specific products of: Hydro Review magazine, HRW-Hydro Review Worldwide magazine, Hydro digital products, HydroVision International exhibition/sponsorship, and HydroVision Brasil exhibition/sponsorship in the assigned territory • Use PennWell selling tools and technology (Salesforce and commercial and customized software) on a daily basis • Maintain and enhance existing customer relationships already established by the Hydro Group • Find and develop new prospects in the assigned territory • Administrate own sales process
Executing high level conferences internationally with event attendance over 3,000 at times. Sourcing and booking locations, halls and equipment Networking with industry professional & formulating great relationships with Advisory Board members Working alongside graphic designers and suppliers Budget negotiating and management Writing copy for promotional use Designing Print and Web communications Liaising with Market Influencers, Delegates, Speakers and other personnel • Adhering to tight deadlines • Organising Technical Tours at each individual event Problem solving and conflict resolution when required. Preparing timelines, critical paths and monitoring activities throughout the duration of an event.
Communicate professionally with a vast range of stakeholders Design, write & distribute press releases to varied target media Adapt existing advertising campaigns for international release for specific region Liaise with international media agents, industry press & journalists to stimulate awareness of event and supply with customised marketing material for many foreign markets Support & underpin all marketing activity carried out by Marketing Managers in the UK & US offices to ensure marketing plan deadlines are adhered to Arrange & ensure fulfilment of barter agreements with global partners and businesses Work with in house studio to design new concepts and artworks for each event Format reports to document visitor & exhibitor demographics of each event Conduct adhoc research projects & design post event surveys to gauge effectiveness & success of event Update Social Networking sites and Event Company websites Design PennWell booths for on-site events - responsible for the arrangement of shipment of any material to events
Responsible for the execution of events, typically weddings from enquiry to actual event night. Handling budgets yet still being creative and innovative whilst adapting to the clients requirements Account Management - Liaising with key London venues - inc contract negotiation, menu tastings, site visits, AV requirements Liaising with affiliates and other stake holders - photographers, production, theming, hospitality staff Meticulously execute the event with an eye for detail to ensure everyone involved's satisfaction is surpassed
