  • Employed as an intern in the finance department under a six month contract, reporting directly to the European Finance Director and Financial Controller. Role: Intern in finance department Responsibilities: • Involved in research information regarding stocks for the FX traders such as taxes on international stocks that were previously not offered by FXCM. • Organising and leading project management work for the finance department. • Required to manage diaries for the FC and FC, as well as taking minutes for the CEO, COO, FC, and FD. • Liaising any accounting handovers with the London, New York and Bulgarian offices, whilst utilising the accounting software, Great Plains. • Bank reconciliations and depositing corporate cheques.

  • Employed by Helen Grant MP, under a three month contract, who is the Member of Parliament for Maidstone & The Weald constituency, and at the time of my working was Minister for Sport and Tourism. Role: Office Administrator Responsibilities • Meeting with other Members of Parliament on behalf of Ms Grant, as well as liaising personal meetings with her colleagues. • Administrating diary management and ensuring Ms Grant’s day was as fluid as possible. • Communicating with and corresponding with constituents in a high pressure political environment. • Temporary office management in the office, while line manager was away for four weeks. • Daily office tasks – replying to letters, answering phone calls. • Involved in the Conservative Party database system to pull out and analyse information on constituents and official information and preparing policy statements. Accessing information for policy guidance and ensuring in tune with government policy. • Asked to stay on and work another 6-12 months for Ms Grant, but instead returned back to University in Sydney
