An outgoing, well-rounded individual with a positive outlook on challenging tasks. I'm a creative thinker, who enjoys working as part of a team to come up with innovative solutions to problems and is always able to maintain confident and decisive under pressure.
A Marketing & PR Exec for a world renowned Post Production House. I create content for and manage The Mill's website and social channels, including writing blogs, news pieces and uploading all latest work. I also write press releases and liaise with artists to ensure their work is represented in the best possible way before sending out to press. I also create bespoke events for clients, help to create brand resources, including all branded collateral and presentation decks and manage the day to day events that take place in the building from showcases to demos presenting the latest in the emerging tech, such as VIrtual Reality.
I project managed the Child's route on a large scale event, called 'Search Party', which saw over a thousand people partake in different routes across London with the aim of finding a big party at then end. I had to co-ordinate the child's route which involved discovering different clues upon completing various tasks at different check points spread across a park. I managed a team of volunteers who ran each check point and worked with a children's group who helped to pull together the different tasks. I had to ensure all the check points ran smoothly, direct participants around the course and that each volunteer was briefed properly and energised about their task ahead.
Producer of arts project, 'Talking Statues', an initiative to bring to life statues across London and Manchester by commissioning famous actors and writers to create and record monologues for historical figures represented through public art. I built relationships with local councils to obtain permission rights and helped to design the signage for the interactive element of the project which enabled users to scan their phone over an NFC tag and receive and imitation 'call' from the statue. I also helped to cast and direct actors who's voice was recorded in a studio, organising all logistics between artists managers and legal representation. I had to check all the copy for the monologues and liaise with writers to edit the scripts to ensure that they reflected the individual represented and maintained the nature and purpose of the project as a whole.
An intern for a not-for-profit organisation who create participatory events in London and other cities across the UK with the aim of helping to make cities a more fun, inclusive environment. I worked on two projects at this time, one was 'Ping' an initiative to put free table tennis tables in public spaces across London in association with Sport England. The other, 'The Travelling Museum of British Invention', which saw the curation of one hundred relics and representations of a hundred of the best British inventions in history within a single deck bus which travelled to various places, including The Houses of Parliament. My role mainly consisted, for 'Ping', building relationships with local councils to obtain the necessary permissions to put up tables and create marketing tools to promote the activity including helping to arrange a launch event. For 'The Travelling Museum' I helped to source, log and install the numerous objects on the bus and also give tours around the bus and organise events around the travelling museum.
A Studio Assistant for a Product and Packaging Design Agency. I assisted designers by helping to create mood boards and undertake marketing research. I helped to store work files and maintain workflows through the building. Copy check all designs before job completion. Meet and greet clients upon arrival and take meeting notes for senior staff members.
I studied a wide variety of historical periods from antiquity to modern political and social analysis, before specialising in Renaissance Visual Culture in my final year of study, mainly assessing the influence of public art in society
