Stage One supports UK theatre producers and is committed to securing the future of commercial theatre through educational and investment schemes. The Society of London Theatre & UK Theatre is a membership association committed to increasing audience development and diversity across the sector, as well as offering training and support to their members. Responsibilities - Coordinating the Stage One 3 day workshop for 40 delegates twice a year and the annual networking drinks for 100 guests per year. - Running daily UK Theatre training courses for up to 70 delegates. - Assisting on major cross West End projects like Theatre Tokens, Kidsweek, West End Live, V&A Curtain Up Exhibition and the UK Theatre Awards. - Leading the administration for Stage One, analysing approximately 450 applications per year. Achievements - Raised Stage One’s profile by organising the 40th Anniversary where 60 of the most prolific Producers attended including Cameron Mackintosh and Judy Craymer. - Ran the Vanity Fair & Asprey Portrait Studio for the Olivier Awards 15’, 16’ & 17’. - Increased our newsletter readership by over 90%, Facebook by over 50% and Twitter over 30%. - Ran the first Stage One Regional Workshop with the Birmingham Hippodrome in November 2017. Launching the redeveloped Stage One website in 2017, with user profiles and updated resources for producers. - Increased Regional placements from 2 (2011) to 4 per year (2017) by building partnerships with venues and creating a free marketing campaign to raise awareness.
As an International Touring company, Broadway Entertainment Group gave me the opportunity to work as part of a dynamic team producing and distributing theatrical shows across the globe. During this time I worked on the international tours of Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake, Dein Perry’s Tap Dogs and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Responsibilities - Organising travel, transport and accommodation for travelling companies. - Obtaining visas and work permits for international touring artists. - Contracting artists and reconciling finances. Achievements - Secured Japanese visas in 24hours for a company of 30 to fly the following day.
MJE Productions is a commercial theatre company that produces West End, Broadway and UK touring theatre. During this time I worked on Ghost the Musical, Barking in Essex, What the Butler Saw, Pygmalion (UK Tour) and The Pajama Game. Responsibilities - Organisation of press nights and launch parties for all productions. - Booking Assistant Performances for all productions for disabled patrons. - Organising workshops, auditions and rehearsals. - Leading on all production administration. Achievements - Chaperoned a week’s long work experience student which included a backstage tour with Lenny Henry and visit to SWD Design. - Researched the effectiveness of theatre classified listings, resulting in no further marketing spend in that area. - Coordinated the marketing feedback session for Ghost the Musical.
