    I was chosen after an application process open to the whole of Rider Operations to join the commercial team as a BDM, signing restaurants who inbounded during December. The skills I developed in this role included: • Negotiation - making sure the restaurant's signings made commercial sense. • Research - understanding the leads that inbounded and their value proposition. • Communication - using email, calls and meetings to ensure the restaurants converted. • Time Management - using email and calls to ensure the amount of leads were handled and contacted in a scalable way. • Product Knowledge - I constantly explained and emphasised the value Deliveroo brings to restaurants and how processes, operations and delivery create growth for restaurants. • Rapport - the restaurants I signed were greeted with enthusiasm to ensure a great first impression of the company and service we can provide. The time spent working in this role was valuable to me and I am keen to work with restaurants again to utilise the skills I have developed within this period.
