Projects
  • Refined Luxury
Refined LuxuryRefined Luxury reflects the future of the bespoke automotive market for autonomous vehicles.  Bespoke personalisation is offered by luxury automotive manufacturers, which we are likely to see more of in the future as cars become a place to relax whilst travelling. Luxury, authentic materials and a sophisticated colour palette are the key features of this collection. Blush pink works alongside deep navy, with metallic accents from authentic copper and gunmetal hand embroidery. Patterns are subtle and smaller in scale, natural patterns from wood grains work alongside the small scale geometric repeats. Leather and suede are used in combination to create hand-crafted, detailed, bespoke fabrics for use in automotive interiors. All designs and images are copyright protected. © Sophie Harrison 2017
  • Padded Volume
Padded VolumeThe automotive industry is at the forefront of innovation, with extensive changes set to take place. Autonomous, self-driving vehicles are set to be on the market by 2030.  The types of interiors we see today are designed with the drivers safety in mind - many interiors feature non-distracting patterns and colours, in order for the driver to maintain their full attention on the road. Autonomous vehicles of the future may feature a more experimental use of pattern and colour - interiors are more daring and vibrant. Colour is key for this collection - changing the way we traditionally use colour in automotive interiors. Ombre plastics are seen alongside vibrant patterned fabrics. Bright neoprenes are interwoven into metal mesh, creating an interesting clash between the juxtaposing materials. Luxury, modern quilting is demonstrated through digital embroidered designs, shown alongside hybrid wood veneers. All designs and images are copyright protected. © Sophie Harrison 2017
  • Mixed Materials
Mixed MaterialsThis trend explores the idea of using natural materials alongside plastics and other synthetic compounds often used within automotive interiors, in order to address issues with sustainability within the textile industry. Wood veneer and felted wools are a feature of this collection, in the hopes that when a vehicle comes to the end of its life cycle - these materials will biodegrade, and synthetic materials could be recycled and reformed into a new product.   This luxury collection considers these natural materials in a hybrid form. The collection has an architectural feel, with angular shapes. Various grey tones, off-set with a vibrant, deep yellow accent colour and a subtle grey-blue provide an eye-catching aesthetic with a geometric feel.
