I run a food and culture zine called Gut Feelings which has been in production for the last two years. It is a bi-monthly illustrated zine with contributing artists and writers who feature in each issue. We sell in the UK as well as the states (Los Angeles, Portland, Denver, New York, Chicago, Nashville). Our latest project, Venue to Menu is a illustrated musicians recipe book featuring 30+ musicians and artists. The zine is a collection of recipes from bands and musicians (such as Mumford and sons, Queens of the Stone Age, The Blockheads, Frank Turner, Social Distortion plus lots more). Each page was then illustrated by a different artist. We are currently working on a new, larger edition as we are publishing the project as a book in September as well as launching as a magazine.
Art and Music is a quarterly magazine belonging to the Saatchi Gallery. I have been writing articles for each issue since 2012. Each of their issues is themed and the articles adhere to particular topics within the themes.
Brits in LA is a company based in Los Angeles, who help british companies and individuals make the move stateside. They host over 100 events a year and have built up a large community in LA. I have been working with Brits in La for a couple of years now, writing for their website and managing events when I am in town.
I started off working for the Saatchi Magazine, Art and Music when the magazine had first launched. I provided photographs of artists, musicians, writer etc to accompany articles.
Similar to my work for the Saatchi Gallery Magazine, I provided photographs for accompanying articles. All my work was taken on a manual SLR and self processed.
