Daily responsibilities: Managing a very busy cocktail bar throughout shift. Training up all new staff members (with and without experience). Taking bookings for events. Ensuring the bar is fully stocked at all times; for general shifts, wedding events and other events the venue is holding. Setting targets for staff members on the bar. Creating new cocktail menus on a regular basis. Showing customers around who potentially are going to make bookings for large groups. Marketing: I’m constantly passing on ideas to management and the marketing departments. From promotional marketing ideas to social media and press ideas. Creating ideas and events for the bars to bring in more customers. Passing on to the marketing team Ideas to market the bar. Setting up various events such as weddings, hen, birthday and celebratory parties, Directors Dinners and the major event of 2016 in Stratford-Upon-Avon; Shakespeare’s Birthday Celebrations. Working closely with both press and marketing department very closely. On a number of occasions I have sent over a number of creative ideas to the marketing department. From social media, to event and article ideas.
Marketing: Working 1.5 days a week on my return to my home town. Writing creative articles and blogs for their website. Social Media strategy (managing the Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram and Flickr. Creating a social media plan and growing the social media presence). Working closely with other local charities I would have to look at ways to get funding for the centre. Organising and hosting presentations to future clients using the venue.
Marketing and PR: Contributing to, and developing / delivering marketing plans within timescale and budget. Co ordinating events: promotions, exhibitions, conferences,private parties. Provide support to the sales team. Liaising with designers, printers and media companies. Arranging photoshoots. Managing production of marketing materials, posters, flyers, event stands. Working to budgets. Passing on information to head office to updating website content. Managing social media websites: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. Putting together e-shots. Going out an actively seeking new customers. Composing press releases and news letters for events and new openings. Liaising with head office and external event and marketing companies. Monitoring competitor activity. Managing and attending promotional marketing events such as food and drink festivals, entering hospitality competitions. Creating special offers for local business, coming up with deals and discount ideas and going out seeking new potential corporate clients to use the venues. Other Daily Duties: Arranging training sessions for staff members. Managing the Trip Advisor and responding to reviews. Printing off new menus for the venues, ordering marketing and events material for the venues. Working towards sales targets. Managing staffing rota for hosts a the venues. Assisting General Manager on general running on the venues at weekends and during busy service. Cashing up at the end of a working shift. Holding cocktail training sessions for staff.
Being the face of the Youth Offending Services when it comes to events and marketing around the local borough. Marketing: Working with a number of the Youth Service teams such as: Young People's Drugs and Alcohol team, Youth Offending Team, and Youth Sexual Health Team as a marketing assistant. Managing Social Media sites. Working closely with the teams to create marketing campaigns. Presenting with the managers the marketing ideas and reporting the success of campaigns. Liaising with designers, printers, and press. Putting together information packs and brochures to give out at events. Monitoring the success of the campaigns. Managing marketing stock levels and ordering new stock when needed. Putting together press releases, e-coms, and writing blogs/newsletters for the website. Marketing Assistant/Production Assistant (Part-Time/project work) Starting off working as a teacher for the R.T.D.A I fell into working in the marketing and production side of the academy as this is area I had most interest in. Marketing: Liaising with designers and printers for leaflets, posters and performance programs; giving them a brief of what “look” we wanted for each performance. Organising promotional events for fundraising. i.e….putting together street performances. Communicating with local radio (Liverpool, St. Helens, Wigan and Warrington). Putting together press releases for events and performances linked with the R.T.D.A. Assassinating with the management of budgets. Managing photoshoots for shows/events. Managing marketing stock. Production Assistant: • Booking studios, production equipment, performance and production staff organising meetings and interviews Preparing and distributing briefing notes and scripts Organising schedules and contracts Overseeing cues, timings and continuity during recording Budgeting. Liaising with stage-management, studio companies, photographers, film production teams, theatre management, costume and prop hire companies. PA to the director. Managing diary. Managing travel plans.

Day to day duties: • Taking payment either face to face or over the phone for deposits (large and small). •Working closely with other venues on Westfield Street when it comes to organising events. • Throughout the weekend I would also have to work as a Duty Manager, assisting the General Manager with the running of the venue. • Assisting with the managing of the staffing rota and managing the rota when the G.M is unable to do so. • Getting involved with all aspects of the business that was necessary.
