Social Media Marketing Assistant

THE YOOX Net-a-porter

Jun 2015
  • My present role as the Social Media Intern at THE OUTNET, YOOX Net-A-Porter Group, has provided with valuable social media marketing and luxury fashion experience. Every day I support THE OUTNET’s Global Head of Marketing, Social Media Manager and Executive to produce daily copy, creative assets (organic & paid) and ensure our global social media strategy is delivered efficiently. My key administrative roles include creating social media weekly activity and social campaign reports, writing copy for THE OUTNET’s Facebook platform, monitoring all social platforms and key influencer content, updating and planning content for our social media marketing calendar and analysing competitors for digital marketing initiatives. I am highly numerate with strong mathematical skills from studying mathematics throughout university and high school and have continually developed these skills by managing the Social Media team’s budget expenditure, raising POs and processing bills. I also work closely alongside the brand’s UK and US marketing teams – in particular email, paid search, partnerships and affiliates – in order to create updated and engaging social assets and copy to drive revenue. When THE OUTNET’s marketing assistant is out of office, is it my responsibility to manage specific key roles of theirs, as well as my own. New York and London Fashion Week 2015 and 2016, brand events and social media competitions are successful projects I have been involved in to organise. I enjoy working in a fast paced, challenging environment, working both autonomously, and within a team and achieving tasks and projects set to strict deadlines.

Apr 2014 - Jul 2015
  • I shadowed members of the Ted Baker E-commerce team, learning about trade, content and editorial aspects of the Ted Baker website. Alongside learning and working with the team, I was set an individual project. My project was to analyse how Ted Bakers competitor websites, in the USA and Australia, compare/ differ from the brands current international website. Over the two weeks I composed a powerpoint of the consumer/competitor research, international comparisons and proposed ideas of what Ted Baker could next do to differentiate their website against competitors. I presented the powerpoint to Ted Bakers head, trade, editorial and content coordinators. I gained valuable knowledge, skills and developed a greater understanding of how an e-commerce team operates within a fashion brand.
