Star Vince Artist/Weaver Graduate from UCA Farnham, First Class BA (Hons) Textiles for fashion and interiors, specialising in woven textiles. Dedicated to pursuing sustainable ways of creating cloth and particularly interested in creating therapeutic textiles. Currently Working as an Art Technician.

  • HALCYON THREAD
    HALCYON THREADHalcyon Thread is a project I have created to address themes of the sensory through the medium of textiles, inspired by my Interest of medicinal plants and aromatherapy. Sensory stimulation and mindfulness is a more practical approach to therapy for various medical, physical and mental health conditions that can effect sensory processing.     RESONANCEResonance - A project working with the concept of layers, sound, vibration and translating them into woven cloth. Inspired by the sound and communication of bees, I created a series of works that visually interpret a secret language.
  • INVASIVE SPECIES
    INVASIVE SPECIESI was Initially struck by my idea of using human hair as a material when I encountered an archive of woven horsehair samples. Working with the ideas behind human hair before, this was something I really wanted to continue and bring forward into my textile practice. Hair as a substance has been seen as an object of both beauty and disgust. It seems when the hair is no longer connected to the host it transitions into an object of repulsion.
