About me
I was born in Bologna in 1989. I'm graduated with a B.A. degree in Cultural Anthropology (University of Bologna, Italy, 2011) and with an MSc in Anthropology & Development Studies (Radboud University, Nijmegen, Netherlands, 2013). I studied screenwriting at the New York Film Academy in NYC, and worked as a documentary Filmmaker and a Film Editor for the Smithsonian Arctic Centre (Anchorage, Alaska, USA). In 2014 I wrote the short film “Lilith” which won as the best film at the 48 Hours Amsterdam Horror Film Race. In the same year, I won the 2nd place at the Van Gogh Film Award (Amsterdam International Film Festival) with the screenplay “Wolves From The Midnight Lunch”. In 2015 I debuted as a director and a producer with the short film "A Twisted Trick-Il Capolavoro Perduto" that won the 1st prize "Ti Racconto in Corto", dedicated to John Fante from “Fondazione PescaraAbruzzo” in 2016. Afterwards, I made two more short films: Strike – La Crisi (Reggio Film Festival Official Selection 2016), and “Haze” (finalist at the Amarcort Film Festival, Rimini 2016). I attended the LUISS Writing School for Film & Television in Rome, and served as an Assistant Producer at Capetown srl, an independent production company based in Rome. In July 2016, I was selected to participate in a Filmmaking workshop sponsored by “Fondazione Ente Dello Spettacolo”. The result of this workshop is a collective short film “Cosa Vedi” which was presented at the 73° International Venice Film Festival. In 2017 I attended the Prague Film School in Czech Republic, producing two more short films and working on other independent film productions mainly as a First AD and a Production Manager.
