  • I was bought on due to my Social Media experience and my experience with a range of marketing to work on both the Hamburg and Seattle shows. From the start I; managed the email schedule & communications, created a social media schedule & executed, redesigned the Seattle show's website, managed our Hamburg show website and managed our exhibitor portal. When an issue with our portal raised I managed the issue and delved into the issue where I found there was more than one issue at hand. It was also realised that we were not the only show with the issue. I joined at the start of the busiest time before the show - just when registration opened and communications & advertising ramped up. This meant that I had to manage and deliver multiple projects with various timelines simultaneously. For example campaigns with contras and sponsorship with exhibitors. In general, I: - Manage the content for social media and websites - Execute the email communications. - Manage UK and international contra advertising (adverts online and offline), exhibitor portal and exhibitor sponsorship. - Design work including flyers and brochures. - Utilise Google Analytics and Google WebMasters for website reviewing and post show ideas. - Analyse online and offline campaigns. - Write briefs for example the show photographer. - Write our 2015 post show report that included all aspects of Marketing including exhibitor sponsorship. - Am someone that other marketing executives go to for advise in Marketing. - Work with the internal and international sales team to deliver external communications.

  • For this job, I was bought on to cover maternity leave by doing the day to day running of their marketing, for example maintaining the websites and online shops/etail accounts, updating their social media accounts, think of new marketing and advertising strategies, monitor analytics and write reports every month on all the marketing activities undertaking that month. During my time at Channels, I also kept the vehicle database up to date and rebranded the online tool shop. For this rebrand, a new logo was produced, online shop was rebranded and a trade Day was organised to stir up interest from the local trade industry. This was the first of this kind of event that the company and myself had done and it really helped me learn and expand my knowledge and skills at events planning. Channel Commercials was a company that helped me start my Marketing career as it allowed me to really settle into what marketing was truly about on a day to day level and the different techniques the different sides of the business used.

Before joining Brasserie Gerard, I was helping out at a family friends’ silver service catering company. I believe waitressing is a good profession to start off a career as it teaches/improves your time management, customer service and multi tasking skills which are vital in any job. It is also a job that you have to pick up quickly but efficiently allowing for future jobs to be tackled head strong and confidently.
