About me

I am a graduate in Events Management from Bournemouth University with a strong desire and passion to excel within the event industry. My University placement year required a focus on the overall customer experience in a luxury private dining environment as well as larger scale events such as weddings, launches and events with significant corporate clients where I developed strong project management capabilities. I spent 18 months as the Special Events Manager for China Tang, a restaurant situated within The Dorchester hotel. My most recent position was as a Conference Coordinator for the Ben Franklin Institute, which provided further education for mental health professionals. I assisted with the organisation of conferences for up to 200 plus attendees. Currently I am working as an Events and Marketing Manager for 68 and Boston. I have various volunteering and freelance experience.

Events & Marketing Manager

68 and Boston

Jul 2015
  • I was hired for the preparation and launch of 68 and Boston, an upscale wine and cocktail bar with a variety of event spaces, located in the heart of Soho. During the launch period, I developed an extensive marketing plan incorporating social media outlets, website content, internet listings and client outreach. The venue opened in October 2015, with press and media coverage from both local and national organisations including Time Out, Evening Standard, Bar Magazine and Imbibe. Current duties include ongoing venue marketing and development, outreach and maintenance of an event client database, including coordinating reservations and bookings for 5 venue spaces housing from 10-40 guests and group bookings for exclusive hire for up to 260 guests. Event management duties include coordinating all outside vendors, including caterers, entertainers, DJ's etc., overseeing event logistics, onsite staff and post event communications, along with spearheading location photo shoots for outside companies, including Schweppes UK. PR projects include solicitation of sponsorships from well known brand labels including Burleigh's Gin, Remy Martin and Diageo. These sponsorships have been utilised by clients for product launches, VIP events and corporate engagements. In addition I handle the marketing and coordination of all outside events promoting 68 and Boston at venues such as Cocktails in the City a three day event at ONE Mayfair, and most recently the five day Taste of London Festival, where 68 and Boston sponsored and ran the VIP Lounge.
