  • Snowboard Scotland
Snowboard ScotlandA mini adventure that ended up as a book. Each winter, thousands of people from the UK descend on ski resorts across the Alps in search of fresh powder and aprés ski. But with the Scottish highlands seeing some of their best snow conditions in years, we posed the question; what do our home grown resorts have to offer? This curiosity culminated in a plan cobbled together over a pint to set out on a mini adventure and find out. Although the ski areas have seen considerably less investment than the Alps, there is a raw honesty to the Scottish offering with none of the pretensions of its European counterparts. In fact, it's an area that has a long history of winter sports that deserves greater recognition. Although not the initial intention, a book was produced documenting the mini adventure. Photos are interlaced with history about the ski resorts, serving as an informative document to other curious souls
  • Christmas Cards - Trees
Christmas Cards - TreesThe Christmas Card project is an ongoing exercise to find a creative way to send seasonal greetings. It is an opportunity to try out alternative creative methods to those I'm more familiar with. This set of cards is based upon the exploration of the humble Christmas tree. This simple spruce has become a dominant focal point within the home in the build up to Christmas Day. Embedded within its elegant form are a wide variety of messages that have developed over many centuries.
  • Christmas Cards - Jumper
Christmas Cards - JumperThe Christmas Card project is an ongoing exercise to find a creative way to send seasonal greetings. It is an opportunity to try out alternative creative methods to those I'm more familiar with. With a renaissance over the last couple of years of the kitsch Christmas jumper it seemed like a suitable selection for a card. This item of clothing, often lovingly knitted by a well meaning grandparent is the embodiment of the Christmas spirit. Crafted with love but not necessarily a lot of taste or skill, the time and effort contained within the jumper makes it a very personal gift. By creating my own set of Christmas jumpers I was able to embed my own take on this tradition. To add my own time and effort, digitally weaving patterns and objects that reflected my own sense of the season and embraced those that my friends and family also enjoy.
  • Briefest Of Moments
Briefest Of MomentsThe Briefest of Moments is a photographic book documenting the little moments that make up the much bigger picture. The project developed out of a desire to reject the careless and complacent nature that had developed within my photographs through the use of digital. All the images within the book are taken using a variety of old film cameras. The limitations imposed by using film challenged the snap happy world of digital

  • Freeride Morocco
Freeride MoroccoThe aim of the project was to document the adventure that could appeal to and enthuse other adventures through film and images. The film and accompanying book aim to strike a balance between an extreme sports edit and travel log. The result is a project that captures the thrills, emotions and technical difficulty of the terrain whilst providing an insight into the Atlas Mountains and the sport for those that do not ride.
