Stream Support Manager

Aerdata

Jan 2014 - Aug 2015
  • Aerdata, a subsidiary of Boeing, are a software company who develop, update and maintain a bespoke Content Management System for aircraft technical records (called STREAM). During my 6 years with Aerdata I have taken on a range of responsibilities developing many transferable skills. This role involved being a main point of contact for several of Aerdata’s high profile clients using STREAM, providing them with software support. I provided support to clients by phone and e-mail, developing effective verbal and written communication skills. I successfully took ownership over their tasks and resolutions, receiving positive feedback from clients. Last year I supervised the organisation of Aerdata’s field projects, preparing my colleagues and making travel arrangements (such as visas, hotels and flights). Often these field projects would come in at very short notice, but I always managed to get the project organised in advance of the start date. In this role I have handled administrative tasks such as helping the account managers with quotes, processing expenses, working with the accounting department on invoicing and overseeing the maintenance of the scanners. I have been involved with staff training and enjoyed helping my colleagues. I also tested Aerdata’s software, in particular post-release testing and new functionality. I am proud I have managed, multi-tasked and prioritised a busy and demanding workload whilst remaining proactive and sufficiently flexible for anything unexpected. I work well in a busy environment both independently and as part of a team. This role evolved from my previous role as Project Manager to incorporate additional responsibilities.

2013

Project Manager

Aerdata

Mar 2011 - Dec 2013
  • This role involved working in the UK office and abroad. I managed scanning projects, working around Europe, Asia & South America supervising teams that were made up of both Aerdata and local staff. These teams have ranged in size from 2–12 people. Overseeing these projects was challenging as we were working on-site at airlines experiencing financial difficulties. We had to be sympathetic to the situation on-site, whilst ensuring we kept to tight deadlines, planning ahead with a good workflow to finish on time and within budget. Managing these projects was at times difficult, as I was working independently from the UK office, but has been a very rewarding part of my career. In the office I worked on inputting files into a Content Management System. This involved data entry, adding metadata, categorising files within the database and reading through the documents, bookmarking technical details. This required a good level of concentration, knowledge of the records and an attention for detail.

2011

Project Assistant

Aerdata

Jun 2009 - Mar 2011
  • I worked in Aerdata’s scanning bureaus, assisting with the preparation, scanning, quality control and filing of aircraft records. In this role I demonstrated that I am hard working with a good attitude and was promoted to Project Manager. Prior to working at Aerdata, I had no knowledge of the aviation industry, but was quick to learn about aircraft records and further my knowledge of the industry.
