I am a graduate in Industrial Design from the University of Bournemouth. This course built really well on my interests in secondary school which were Art and Design & Technology. My placement Year 3 was spent working full time as a Designer in the Electronic Security industry. I am a graduate member of the I.E.D. and currently studying part-time at the London College of Communication for the Postgraduate Certificate in Design for Visual Communication. Conscientious and reliable, with a proven strong work ethic I am willing and eager to learn.
Stock control, goods-in and shop layout were jobs done by me in my local store that highlighted the need for accurate records and neat, eye-catching display (one week)
I collected the surveys and then helped with handing out them to students at LCC. The students would fill them in and give them back to me. It lasted 7 hours in one day.
I worked in a busy department as a CAD Operator preparing layout/schematics drawings, as an Estimator preparing quotations and specifications and as a pre-order Designer, supporting the National sales teams. During my time at ADT, I attended and passed various internal company training courses on Fire Alarms, sounders and detectors, Access control systems and CCTV. I was awarded a certificate for successfully completing the ADT Development programme.
I assisted with stage lighting, moving props and seat bookings. Planning and preparing for stage performances helped me understand the importance of team work, organising and communicating (one week).
2ii (Sandwich) degree award in various units in Industrial Design. The units involved e.g. Commercial Design.

In order to improve my overall skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, I spent a week on an intensive course at Chelsea College of Art and Design, UAL. I learned about the more advanced use of the tools in industry on Mac computers and I received a certificate at the end crediting my achievement.
Performed plays to an audience as an actor. Drama has helped me develop my communication skills and presentation techniques.
For this examination I had to pick and play, along with the CD, a series of songs to the examiner. Apart from playing technique, this also helped me to improve my listening skills.
