About me
Sughra Ahmed brings together a unique blend of experience in academia, policy and community activism. I’m passionate about the intersections of gender, faith, culture and identities. Through research, art and service, my journey continues in understanding people, sharing their stories and building deep appreciation of human complexities in fun and creative ways. Stories change the way we see each other, and used well, storytelling is a powerful tool in creating more cohesive and healthier societies. I’m also interested in the connection between our own human contentment, the natural world and our spiritual reliance on the planets wellbeing. Caring for our wellbeing is deeply connected to caring for the wellbeing of the world around us.
