• Requested voluntary redundancy after a restructure, despite being offered a good position, as I need a new challenge.
• Worked closely with Head of Window Design to provide ideas and designs for an average of 65 windows.
• Effective management of a team of 10 staff encouraging their creativity and flair within our design specification to create successful and stunning windows.
• Supervised Showcase windows and liaised with high end brands for design and sales.
• Worked with very high net worth clients who had purchased window space, on designs, implementation and project managing the same from initial idea to completion and ultimate removal of the windows. Effectively meeting the high standards of the client and myself to produce dramatic windows and encouraging repeat business from clients.
• Worked closely, thoroughly and confidently with the Marketing and Media Sales team. Attended Paris design exhibition with the team in 2014 to meet clients and gain ideas and attended the display industry exhibition in Germany in the same year.
• Liaised with companies outside of Harrods with great success developing solid relationships resulting in good service and prices from outside services such as prop companies, artists and trades. In addition to ensure the successful implementation of window designs, project managing the same throughout to include their removal which is usually undertaken in one evening and requires meticulous planning and management of the team.
• Actively involved in the design and implementation of the window dressing, to include selecting merchandise and props. Also involved in aspects of DIY when required.
• Achieved recognition for window displays for a number of years to include the Christmas Window awards for the last 5 years.
• Trained and encouraged new and inexperienced team members.
• Participated in the selection and interview process for new team members.
• Carried out yearly reviews for the team members I managed.
• Managed and allocated budgets for all window designs.
• Compiled and approved orders for window installations.
Senior Display Assistant

• Designing and dressing fashion mannequins, furnishing fabric design which included; room settings, dressing and handling of fabrics as well as the make up of fabric designs. Designed several areas of the furniture floor including colours, window treatments, accessories and floor plans. Carried out small DIY tasks to include; painting and carpentry. Also worked in all areas of fashion to include; ladies, men’s and children’s. Involved in New Store openings and training of inexperienced display team members.
