A newcomer to the industry, I am a Maltese filmmaker who is currently based in London. After striving to enter the world of cinema and filmmaking throughout my life, I finally managed to give it my full-time attention while studying for a Master's degree in Film Directing at Met Film School (2019-2021). Prior to this, I studied psychology for my Bachelor’s in Malta and attained a distinction for my MSc in Media Psychology in Manchester. I previously worked as a teaching assistant for SEN children.
Growing up in Malta, filmmaking did not seem like a possible venture to me and those around me. While Malta is used as a location spot for blockbusters, there are very few films made locally by Maltese filmmakers and so, the thought of becoming a filmmaker myself seemed impossible despite my devout obsession with cinema. That is, until now.
“Itch” is my directorial debut. I was also its executive producer, editor, and production designer.
