About me
London-based designer with a big passion for design, music, theatre and film making.
Projects
  • Invisible Cities
Invisible CitiesInvisible Cities is a novel by Italo Calvino in 1972. The book explores imagination and the imaginable through the descriptions of cities by an explorer, Marco Polo. The majority of the book consists of brief prose poems describing 55 cities, and the way Calvino described is more abstract concept rather than very concrete structure details. My idea is to transfer this journey into a TV series and show the different cities in each episode.
  • Pandora
PandoraPandora was a second year college project which was a filming character task inspired by mythical Greek stories. The design and set dressing were determined by the locations that we found.
  • DRACULA
DRACULADracula was a second year college project based on a text from Bram Stoker's classic novel. The project involved adapting this classic story into a period and culture of our own choice, and to also choose an exterior location within London. We produced storyboards, visuals, models and technical drawings to support our design ideas. I created a proposed film set in a Chinese historical context, and used Regent's Park as the location to give this Western vampire story a Han and Ming Dynasty twist.
  • The 4th Now Show+ing Exhibition
The 4th Now Show+ing ExhibitionFor the 4th Now Show+ing Exhibition, I designed a display table for the event and fashion show. This event aimed to create a platform for young and fresh Chinese artists and designers to share and promote their talent and work.
  • Brothers
Brothers"Brother" is a short film produced during the 2014 AFA program. The story is about the conflict between two brothers and investigates the impact of technology on children. It was a 3 day production shoot with 4 locations in Busan, Korea. Brother was shown at the 19th Busan Film Festival.
  • POST H
POST HPost H is a short film produced by Bloody Hand Films as a graduation piece for the MA Filmmaking course at Goldsmiths University. The film tells the story of Warren, a powerful and brilliant man, whose inability to accept his daughter’s death leads him to create an artificial world within the confines of his house to enable him to hold on to her forever. This film was shown at a BAFTA screening. My primary role in this production was designing the second location, a dark futuristic control room, which was entirely purpose built in a studio. I also designed the promotional poster for Post H.
