About me
Experienced fashion designer in Brazil moved to London for a Post Graduation Degree at London College of Fashion. Focussed on Womenswear, I am confident in fashion product development. Captivated by textures and garment constructions, I developed advanced skills in patternmaking, moulage, fabric manipulation and hand sewing.
Projects
  • Weaving Paterns
Weaving PaternsThe Project unravels from the studies of the art of tapestry, handcrafted weaving and its history to conceptualize a study of pattern cutting. After researching the techniques of the handmade art, practiced for more than 12.000 years, comes the challenge of developing pieces from whole moulds without detachable segments. The warp is never interrupted. The work was based on incorporating new materials to act as weft, having both volume and texture weaved to the recurrent fabric.

History of Eternity - London College of FashionP.G. LONDON COLLEGE OF FASHION PROJECT - FASHION DEVELOPMENT UNIT The creative development of the collection was based on a narrative research of the movie ‘The History of Eternity’. The Brazilian movie is based on the stories of three residents of a small village with approximately 40 inhabitants in the hinterland, in a world in which their conceptions of life are limited by human instincts and by a blind and fatalist fate. The entire narrative takes place in the same community based in a desert landscape, a geographical point in northeastern Brazil.
  • My Otherness - London College of Fashion
My Otherness - London College of FashionP.G. LONDON COLLEGE OF FASHION - FINAL REALISATION Spirituality - My Otherness. This project first started with the possibility of working with fabric manipulation. Researching “Fibre Artists” and their motivations is what brought up my personal conception that spirituality is one of the many layers that makes us what we are as human beings. I was engaged with how they used forms, materials and specific techniques to interact in that abstract discussion. The experimentation came from references that defined syncretism as being analogous to an empty "plastic bag" that gains in value the more it contains. The materials and textures were influenced by the syncretism and mysticism vision, but also by science, e.g. virtual reality. One way in which this was employed was by trying to “hide” the textures, making them subtle and not immediately visible to the eye.
