Whilst working at Small Green Shoots I gained numerous administrative skills including: ¥ Organizing meetings locally and regionally ¥ Research, developing surveys & evaluation material, presenting statistical reports ¥ Working/Liaising with clients, ensuring they are updated and chasing responses ¥ Booking business trips in UK and Internationally, including travel and itineraries ¥ Basic accounting; day-to-day bookkeeping, expenses, petty cash ¥ Ordering and maintaining office stationary/equipment ¥ Recruiting, training and supervising junior staff and delegating work when required ¥ Adapting to new procedures and formats whilst overseeing transition to Charity status. ¥ Developing and monitoring filling systems Other duties; Training Days; logistics, developing welcome packs, leave behinds, guest speaker briefs, manage the event on the day, including setting up and de-rig. Quarterly Board Meetings; Preparing board meeting documents, setting agendas, minute taking, arranging catering, meeting rooms and circulating documents. Liaising with Accountants; arranging financial documents for the quarterly and annual accounts, filling and reconciling invoices, bills, responding to enquires, ensuring spreadsheets are correctly formatted and present, and ensuring PAYE payments are made on time.
February Small Green Shoots 2013 - Project Assistant (Part time) February 2015 This role involved working with public funders and the local council; writing bids/funding applications, creating budgets, marketing and activity plans, creating surveys/evaluation material, converting results into statistics for analysis and weekly reports to Project Manger. My project portfolio: “The Plan” A Grants for The Arts project funded by Arts Council England (£7K raised). Responsibilities included; bid writing, budgeting, diligence, organizing workshops, sourcing equipment/material, marketing, promo work, activity reporting and evaluations. “RWD Magazine Classical Mixtape” The project culminated with a live event. Main responsibility was the “Accreditation desk‟ dealing with VIP/Standard tickets, whilst managing a team of volunteers and delegating roles on the night and assisting in stage management and risk assessment. “The Many Guises of the Rainbow Theatre” Responsibilities; facilitating numerous workshops, handled the budget, promo material, outreach and focus groups to local schools. The project culminated in the creation of a free mobile app on the famous Rainbow Theatre.
Two-week internship; During this time, I assisted the office coordinator and was also given the responsibility to look after clients (Brand Ambassadors) when visiting the office, helping them look through and select appropriate Adidas merchandise. Other duties included: • Assisting with promo events (Stan Smith trainer launch & EQT trainer launch) • Looking through different media publications and making note of any Adidas merchandise in the media • Creating and overseeing the next seasons look book • Ordering stock • Sending merchandise and arranging couriers
