Due to my statistics skills, I assisted my manager with forming budgets and ordering stock as well as using store figures to track progress and set targets with regards to previous figures. I also managed the Christmas Sales team to handle customers and 4 stockrooms efficiently. Motivating the team, we exceeded our target of £2m in one week with daily team talks and zoning. Helping the team to overcome language barriers and volume of customers to our advantage to up-sale during sales was crucial.
Tailored internship covering technical analysis for trading alongside working with the partners to create analysis reports for new offices in China. Research was acquired through firms across London for business advice, to HMRC for regulations. I also participated in client meetings and networking events.
Summer placement managing a team of 20 to assure smooth database update for new and returning students; carrying the responsibility of protecting confidential information. The renewed government fee brackets were taken on board as I calculated fees for international and mature students.
Teaching children aged 6-12 years and their parent/guardian the advances of science in an interactive environment. I managed my team for smooth rotation across each part of the event. Promoting the event through social media and approaching people of the public, explaining why they should come along with their families to our workshops and how it could benefit them.
Call, and write to companies to gain permission to plan events at their locations and have people on site to collect donations from their customers. Research and contact people who have benefited from London Air Ambulance’s service and see if they would be comfortable to share their experience at fund raising events. Managing time and dates were very important in order to ensure events run seamlessly.
I opened and closed cases physically and on the database. Client care letters were written and sent on a daily basis to stay up to date with clients on their case by keeping up with my mentor. I managed the diary of my mentor and booked in client meetings according to their availability. Attending daily meetings in office and at court on special occasions, I experienced how to prepare and follow up on cases to meet deadlines efficiently.
