About me
I am an experienced and versatile young professional with strong writing, administrative and inter-personal skills. I have always been exceedingly good at liaising with clients and sharing ideas with co-workers over multiple platforms throughout my employment history. Having developed a range of skills in organisation, writing, branding, social media, events organisation and more I am seeking a place to more fully explore my potential.

Brand, Systems & Customer Service ManagerIce Rocks London
    London, United KingdomFull Time
I joined the company when it was named Glamrocks. It is a small independent jewellery business, and at the time I was taken on it was taking its first steps online. I learned to use a bespoke inventory system designed specifically for the company, generating a database containing over 1,000 products. I then noticed how inactive the store’s Instagram and Facebook pages were and took the opportunity to turn them around, fully integrating the page into a variety of events the shop was involved in and producing online campaigns to promote a range of seasonal sales. More recently the physical store has closed. The business has renamed itself Icerocks and is now exclusively online. As a result, my role has expanded to include working with new international suppliers and sourcing entire new ranges. I have sourced products, imported them and run several promotions, the success of which can be partially attributed to the social media following built through my initial work with the brand's Instagram. In this role I have also worked with a variety of artists and live music promoters, sponsoring their events with Icerocks and cross-promoting each other's brands on social media before and after the live performances have taken place.

My first experience at Global was over a few days of blogging for YouTube culture site We The Unicorns. At the time the site averaged 6million unique views per month and I was tasked with researching, resourcing, writing and editing a range of articles. My writing skills were picked up on shortly after this and I was asked to work with the commercial team in some part time roles. Within these roles I was taught to use the established CMS including scheduling content. After this I worked with hi-spec client briefs to help deliver creative acquisition and location planning; producing pieces written effectively to maximise SEO. This took place across multiple Global brands including Capital, Heart, Radio X, LBC and Smooth, adapting tone of voice and angles to fit appropriate brands and competition concepts. I completed a series of briefs for high-profile clients including Emirates, British Airways, Dave & Stagecoach, and ultimately finished the work given to me ahead of schedule. As a result of this I was trusted to learn more of the internal systems so as to become a more versatile member of the team. I have been given multiple freelance opportunities since April 2017 and believe this can be attributed to my strengths in writing and ability to learn new web systems very quickly.

This course was more a vocational and philosophical look at drama and the study of performance, and rather than encouraging acting skills this developed my artistic outlook and gave me a variety of practical opportunities in terms of events planning and administration.
