  • Filterview are a new wave media firm that work to provide the best online viewing content for their members. • I was lucky enough to do a short placement at Ruffer LLP getting to grips with active fund management. Ruffer look after investments for private clients and institutions, as well as managing several funds. During my time there I was taught the basics of how to rate stocks, look after clients and basic administration on individual funds and clients. Areas I focussed on included the commodities and Forex markets, and spent time on both the ‘front desk’ and the trading floor.

James Grant Management

Jul 2014 - Aug 2014
  • I spent my time managing their impressive roster of clients that range from TV personalities to sportsmen and women. My day to day tasks included taking minutes at creative meetings, dealing with clients directly to ensure that the services provided were tailored to their needs, and drafting pitches and powerpoints. I spent half of my time on the ‘brands’ desk, where I was able to pick up first-hand insight into how JGM successfully merge brands with their clients.

Wise Buddah Group

May 2014 - Jul 2014
  • I spent a month at Wise Buddah on an intimate production team, producing in house radio shows, commercials and music audio as well as live shows in the BBC for Radio 1 and Radio 6. I was conducting extensive research on brands, artists and worked closely with several presenters, looking after their needs and organising on-location recordings and producing specialist shows.

Jun 2013 - Jul 2013
  • I undertook a short internship in the video production unit of the online magazine, conducting research, production planning, interviewing artists and political figures, and providing editorial input. I also spent time shooting on location with various film crews across London, as well as playing a significant role in event organisation.
