“Creating since 20th November 1983”... ... using a small reference to the portuguese olive oil brand, this is the way i have to describe myself in one sentence. My contact with arts started very early through my father, who wasa an architecht and an Interiors Decorator. Due to that reference and his indirect influence i decided to follow it professional so i took on a professional Graphic Design and Multimedia course. As soons as i ended my formation, i was invited to an ambitious project that was starting up: designing the portuguese Hip-Hop Magazine, Freestyle. It was a wonderful experience which gave me the chance to work every aspect of a magazine as well as its publicity. However, due to the lack of funding the project ended two years later. After that i dedicated myself to work as a freelancer and also doing some personal recreation works, which some of them are included. In 2014, i took on a new challenge, in a new country. The Angolan advertising agency FreeMind, Marketing e Comunicação, invited me to join them and to work for them, which i’ve been doing since July 2014 until February 2016. I consider myself self-educated and a fast-learner, always ready to achieve more, learn more, embrace new challenges and expand my knowledge. I believe a good designer is an interested designer and that is my daily focus, new and better ways to learn, do my job and express my creativity. So, rewinding to the beginning, i live creating since 1983... ... and it is time to take one step further...

Each new client is a step in the right direction and a chance for me to grow stronger.
As a Graphic Designer at FreeMind, my job consists of receiving the creative briefings that are given to me, analyse them and create the pieces requested by the client, meeting his needs and desires. Also, in some cases, i add sugestions and possible solutions. I'm most experienced in: - Branding / Corporate Identity; - Packaging; - Editorial Design; - Ilustration; - 3D; My main objectives at Freestyle was to help the agency grow and build a bigger and better client list. I also grew inside the agency and learned some techniques, improved my working under pressure, as well as my creative thought and knowledge of the Angolan market. I was also able to learn more about production processes and materials. At Freestyle, i worked with clients such as Nestlé, TCG Automóveis, Fit&Fine, Oondah and Taag, just to mention a few of the top Angolan clients.
Freestyle Magazine was, as the name itself already indicates, a magazine focused on covering all of the Portuguese Hip-Hop, from Graffiti, to Bboy, MC'ing and DJ'ing. I was responsible for: - Graphic layout and edition of the entire magazine; - Press and web advertising; - Graphic Layout of "MySpace" and other related webpages; - Flyer, brochure and all advertising created; My main objectives working for Freestyle was to help the magazine grow an audience with a different approach to what Design used to be as to the HipHop Culture. I was also aiming to improve my skills and knowledge of editorial Design and also printing processes.
