This freelance position consisted in assisting in a photoshoot for an online vintage clothing brand. Some of the tasks included sorting out and assembling outfits according to a lookbook, organising and matching all the items required for the shoot, packing and unpacking, ironing the clothes to a high standard and assisting the photographer with lighting and set up.
A full time internship for a luxury lingerie brand. This position was extremely varied and my tasks ranged from assisting in sample production, packaging and posting online shop and wholesale orders, up keeping of the showroom, organising and managing stock and running errands, among others. This was a great opportunity to see how a luxury brand operates and how lingerie collections are developed.
A full time position in a personal shopping start up specialising in gift buying. Some of my tasks included curating collections of items based on questionnaires filled by customers, researching suppliers, buying, managing a client database and creating customer profile statistics, creating content and devising strategy for social media and customer service. In addition, I really enjoyed working in a start up and learning more about this type of company.
In this full time work placement I spend most of my time producing the costumes for the 2014 Summer season opera 'Peter Grimes'. Other tasks included: making alterations to existing costumes, organising previous season costumes and assisting in fittings.
This work experience within a costume hire company gave me the chance to learn how this type of service supports the TV and film industry. Most of my time in this position was spent receiving and sending out costumes, but some of my other tasks included creating window displays, photographing costumes for the company website, organising and managing the stock and occasionally repairing costumes.
In this project the V&A selected a few costumes from the yearly costume show put on by the university that would be featured in a promotional video for a new gallery opening in the museum. We were asked to make alterations to our costumes so they would fit the models selected by the V&A and to attend the video shoot to assist by working as dressers.

Six month course specialising in lighting. Subjects included: lighting set ups for studio, working with natural lighting and Photoshop. Course projects included realising photoshoots such as: product photography, food photography, photographing people in a studio, nature photography and working with natural lighting outdoors.
Six month introductory course in photography. Subjects included: learning for to use different types of cameras, manual settings, lighting and photo editing.
Unfinished BA course. During the 9 months I spent in this course some of the subjects I studied included: Illustrator, Technical Drawing, Life Drawing, Illustration for Fashion, Pattern Draping, Colour Theory, Fashion Journalism and History of Art.
Six month long course in drawing for Fashion Design, including Life Drawing and Illustration for Fashion.
Introduction to pattern drafting/cutting and dressmaking for womenswear.
