    FRiSM (Competition Brief)To create a brand and identity, with 3 pieces of supporting advertising, for an IFO (Identified Flying Object). I chose a frisbee. The difficulty I found was how to encourage my demographic of middle-class 25-37 years olds to play with a frisbee in a digital world.     Bees Help Make (Student Brief)A campaign to change people’s perception of Bees by showing them how reliant we are on them. Bees, through Entomophily, pollinate 1/3 of everything we eat. To emphases this I highlighted some of the less desirable foods they pollinate, and used them to grab peoples attention.   • A Clockwork Orange
    A Clockwork OrangeA book cover that conveys the ideas of the book without the need for literal depictions. There are two main themes; one that the laws of nature are dualistic and two that technology can be dangerous, especially in relation to how it can be used. The cover is made of two parts the main book is black cloth and the dust jacket is a clear plastic sheet printed with white ink. Both parts are needed together to make the information legible. This represents the dualism of good and evil which lies at the heart of the novel. I represented the relationship between communism and capitalism through the metaphor of the barcode. A barcode is a way to purchase goods, but it is also a way to track the habits of the consumer. As an idea it creates an interesting link, around the back, from capitalism to communism. Two things that are seen as opposites, that maybe need each other to exist.

    Crave Wave (Student Brief)A food truck app that makes the tough decisions on food that much easier. Food apps have so many options. But not Crave Wave, it takes away this stress, it gives you three simple choices at each stage. This means you can spend less time thinking about what you want, and just eat it. The simplicity is highlighted by the use of a traffic light system, and the use of the Univers font family. The main aim of the branding was to create an app that was simple and recreated the feeling of craving.
  • Fold+Grow
    Fold+GrowBranding and packaging for a shop selling succulent plants and accessories. The target audience for the shop are Nail Technicians. My research showed me that Nail Technicians see succulent plants as statements in their homes, rather than plants to care for. My packaging and branding reflected this by focusing on easy maintenance and strong aesthetics. The plant packaging, for ease, is designed so that it can become a plant pot.
