I'm a Graphic Designer with a massive eye for detail and a love for savoury food. My work covers a range of disciplines and can be described as being fun, intriguing and exciting. My key interests are in branding, packaging, typography and video. In my free time I am either in the sea or out exploring on my bike. I always have to keep myself busy, even it's just taking myself off for a walk. I adore everything about travel and exploring culture and will always jump at the chance to visit somewhere new.
During my time there I was helping on various projects for multiple clients, including typographical work and final artworking ready to be approved and sent off. I got really involved in studio life and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Being there secured my love for design, and increased my confidence in my own abilities.
For 3 days over the summer I assisted in the process to get a vinyl ready to go onto a garment. I cut out vinyl ready for printing, and then assisted in the printing of the garments using the heat press. I went in not knowing anything about this method of printing, but came out feeling competent with the process.
I worked in the studio during weekly sessions assisting in designing a leaflet for a local bookshop. I really valued the experience and it made me set on pursuing design in further education.
I studied Graphic Design, with each project focusing on the idea.
The first term consisted of trying a number of different disciplines, for which I chose Graphic Design, Photography and Fine art, chosing one to continue for the rest of the year. I chose to carry on Graphic Design.
