Hi, I’m Tom. I’m looking for a project or account management role working within the creative industries. I studied on the post-disciplinary Design BA at Goldsmiths, University of London and am currently based in central London. My practice is built on collaboration and working with people from a variety of different backgrounds. I look to use my communication skills, creative knowledge and ability to bring out the best in others to deliver high quality outcomes. I’m currently a sales consultant at Paul Smith in London and Director of Duat Ltd alongside my creative partner Charlie Witter. I’ve also taught at Goldsmiths, University of London and The University of Creative Arts as well as having participated in a variety of internships at creative companies.
Teaching first year students on the Design BA including the running and organisation of workshops.
This has included monitoring key art pieces and their condition within the space and providing an excellent visitor experience.
Working in the busy, high end retail environment for British Designer Paul Smith. Including developing key relationships with creative businesses and celebrity clients. The role has also included providing feedback to the buying teams and assisting with the running and organisation of in store events.
Teaching Foundation Diploma Students exploring the 3D Design pathway of the course.
Working with an office team to design information guides for residents of the housing community about how to use newly available technology.
Design Intern working with a team of office members and other interns to deliver communication solutions and ideas to address incoming GDPR legislation.
Interning as a Gallery assistant to work with artists in residence, the setting up and taking down of exhibitions, greeting visitors and explaining to them in detail the artworks on display.
Intern helping to assemble 3D printed dolls for shipment, making orders of stationery, receiving quotes for manufacturing options and building shop displays within Selfridges.
First Class Honours Multidisciplinary design degree with exhibition at Peckham ’s Copeland Park
11 GCSE’s A*-C including Maths and English, A-Levels in History, Art and Product Design
Distinction Art and Design with a final specialisation in 3D design
Awarded a place at the Goldsmiths University small business incubator as Entrepreneur in residence for 2019 to 2020.
Winner of a £2,500 grant for Ramsgate Seadog Festival. Judged by a panel of business experts in a two-phase process, including a written application and presentation.
Highly Commended in the Creative Challenge European exchange programme involving selected students from Le Havre and University of the Creative Arts. Including a residency in Le Havre and an exhibition in London.
John Downton Art Awards finalist selected from Kent Schools students to have work publicly exhibited.
Winner of the category for ‘Best Free Design’ at a national Design & Technology competition.
