Commercial Director (UK) Stage Entertainment – International theatrical production company. February 2014 – May 2015 Position within the UK senior management team. Responsible for the strategic leadership and implementation of marketing, PR and sales activities for Stage Entertainment’s West End and UK touring productions. Responsibilities and skills: • Managing and running a busy internal marketing department, working collaboratively with external teams, design agencies, PR companies and venues to create and implement bespoke communications strategies. • Analysis of sales, trends, and customer insight in order to plan effective marketing campaigns. • Setting and monitoring of box office income targets, pricing and yield management. • Forecasting, budget setting, responsibility for the marketing spend and measuring profit and loss, working in conjunction with the Finance Director. • Crisis management and problem solving. • Planning and strategy development for all phases, including launch, pre-opening, running and long-term marketing campaigns. • Overseeing in venue merchandising and front of house operations. • Creating direct relationships with a wide variety of sales channels. • Managing effective communication with stakeholders and creating strong relationships with co-producers and licence partners. • Thorough practical knowledge of successful integrated marketing, including traditional media advertising, sales promotions and sponsorship, ticketing, tourism marketing, direct marketing, as well as the creative process. • Sharp focus on digital marketing, including website development, social media, SEO, display advertising, CRM and content creation. • Understanding of Box Office operating systems and ticketing platforms ensuring a smooth process for all aspects of the customer’s journey. • Up to date knowledge and experience of sales techniques and positive working relationships with key ticketing agents and other sales outlets within the entertainment industry.
