helloMuller Ltd. is an independent multi-disciplinary graphic design practice with a reputation for making modern, memorable and award-winning work. I partner with, and design for technology startups, movie studios, publishers, media producers, filmmakers, and ad agencies worldwide.
As Associate Creative Director I was responsible for shaping the studio's creative vision and leading the Visual Design team(s), working closely with the User Experience and Creative Strategy directors. Key projects included the full redesign and digital repositioning of Magnum Photos, and visual design for the new IRC- International Rescue Committee website; alongside projects for BBC News and Futura Sciences.
Responsible for conceiving and steering the creative output of digital projects across all platforms together with the Head of Digital. One of the key digital projects I was involved with – "A Christmas Tweet", a site which tracked Christmas sentiments on Twitter – was nominated for a BIMA Award.
At Mam Tor I was responsible for steering the company branding and design, which ranged from art-directing advertising and promotion collateral, to the publication design of all the major releases of the publisher, including the award-winning flagship anthology title Mam Tor: Event Horizon.
During my 8 year tenure I worked on a wide range of interactive and web projects for clients in the music, media, and culture industries with a strong focus on minimal, elegant content-led design; occasionally picking up an award (or at least a nomination) on the way. Key projects included revamping the online presence of MTV2 Europe and launching the first website for MTV Base, official artist sites for acts including The Pet Shop Boys, Kylie Minogue, Lilly Allen, The Script, Kasabian, Roots Manuva, and AC/DC, and label sites for Sony Music, EMI, Columbia, RCA, Warp Records and Ninjatune; alongside projects for clients in the culture sectors that include The ICA and Damien Hirst; and giving creative agencies DixonBaxi, Partizan and Studio Output a strong, distinct online presence.
Most of my time was spent on the designing for the entertainment industry, primarily the SBS Broadcasting Group and their suite of international TV channel sites. Assisted in the creative development of the Scandinavian Big Brother websites and created models for interactive advertising and online entertainment.
Responsible for the design and development of B2B communication and presentation tools for Pan-European clients in the technology sector. Projects ranged from the creation of product-specific websites, interactive CD-ROM tools, kiosk presentations and online learning tools for clients including Ricoh, Kyocera, Honeywell, Johnson & Johnson and LG Electronics.
