About me

I am a London-based British Chinese, a history and journalism graduate who is pursuing a career in film and television production. I started filming when studying at The University of Hong Kong shooting events and documentaries for my residential college. Within a few years, it became a part of my life. I started taking up projects with restaurants, theatre companies and a social enterprises. I primarily make commercial-films and documentaries, but I'm also skilled in photography and social media management. In 2013, I founded LOCAL Hong Kong (localhongkong.wordpress.com), a cultural website that houses a collection of stories about a new dynamic generation of Hongkongers. I had the great opportunity to lead a team of talented peers from various backgrounds to initiate several multimedia and interactive projects. Childhood Treasure Quest for example was featured in Localiiz and Radio Television Hong Kong. The Occupy Central and Umbrella Revolution documentary projects were also results of immense effort filming a seventy-nine day protest. Beyond filming I am also deeply interested in architecture and design, which I write a blog about. (thschiu.wordpress.com)
