My role at Amazon allows me to use and develop my key skills of design, art direction, branding and team leadership. I have autonomy to raise the creative bar of customer centric design and am accountable for the performance driven results. I can go from being hands-on with one designer for creating a TV ident to overseeing a team of 10 people producing 3000+ assets for business critical campaigns such as Prime Day across digital display, OOH, print and onsite. I work closely with the UX team to ensure that their internal tools for building onsite assets are delivering the highest standard possible and meeting brand guidelines.
Beyond my daily remit I took ownership of building the creative team’s in-house facilities at Amazon’s new London HQ. This encompassed spec’ing three photography & video studios. I also designed the interior of the office to create an inspiring and engaging creative environment. As well as taking pride in my own work I make the time to develop junior members of the team to help them grow and navigate their own career road map.

I was responsible for the design and production of the seminal weekly music magazine. I led the creative direction of the content and managed the three-person art desk. I designed over 70 NME covers and won IPC Media’s cover of the month award three times. I was accountable for the approval and delivery of the final press pages. The role involved working closely with photographers and artists. I also designed branding assets for the annual NME Awards and co-branded live events. Collaboration, diligence and passion were key skills for delivering results.
