Hello! I think VFX is a little slice of computer magic and I love it! Always super excited to learn new things and constantly mind blown by just about everything. Since being a VFX Trainee on Star Wars 'The Rise of Skywalker' I have made it my mission to learn as much as physically possible in VFX (And I'm loving it!)
On my apprenticeship I have refined my ability to Tech Check work for other artists. This involved frame by frame checking grain and ensuring shots are to a high technical standards. I now carry out Roto/Prep tasks in the TV department :)
Through the British Film Institutes amazing trainee scheme I was lucky enough to work on Starwars ' The Rise Of Skywalker'. My responcabilities included: On-set helping wranglers by running witness cameras and placing markers. office tasks such as helping update databases, shot descriptions and thumbnails . I also make great tea and coffee!! I was lucky enough to be welcome to explore other areas of VFX on this traineeship. I got to help out with Lidar, learn about photogametry, help out the Virtual Production team and I had a morning learning about the previs pipeline! I cant emphasise enough that I love learning!
I spent a week creating an animation called 'Rest In Pizza' with a super talented group made up of other young people interested in Stop Motion.
I completed this qualification as part of the BFI regional program. The course had a focus on Visual Effects and was a gateway to the opportunities which later opened up!
In my studies I aimed to have a strong focus on Stop Motion and Visual Effects. I completed my course slightly early to begin a traineeship through the BFI. The college was amazing! I achieved a top grade of Triple Distinction Star! (D*D*D*)
