About me

I specialise in designing for social change. As Creative Director of Shift, formerly We Are What We Do, I have defined the company’s strategic approach to behaviour change and designed of a series of award winning products and services that provide practical appealing solutions to social and environmental issues. I draw on my background in the advertising industry, where I won D&AD, BTAA and Creative Circle awards, now applying my understanding of popular consumer products to the social innovation sector. I've sat on the jury for the RSA Student Awards and D&AD Student Awards, am a faculty member of the postgraduate leadership programme for social change Year Here and have been profiled in the book Design Transitions. My team has won a Webby, a Tech4Good award, was a finalist in the Google Impact Challenge and named a New Radical by Nesta and The Observer. I am also a trustee of Stepney City Farm, inputting into the charity's governance, assisting with their youth education programme, directing their comms activity, working with a diverse range of people, including those with learning difficulties and mental health problems, as well as doing practical farm jobs.
