Working in a Mental Health Pharmacy as an Assistant Technical Office my main role is to ensure prescriptions are logged on to the system database and are prepared for dispensing, as well as to ensure dispensed medication is sent to wards/teams in a timely fashion.
As a supervisor being part of the management team I was responsible for the day to day running of the store, upholding brand philosophy and working to achieve company goals. To motivate and work alongside the crew building a team mentality. Carrying out daily briefing and delegating tasks to ensure the crew are commercially up to date and have the tools for optimum performance thus enabling a smooth running of the store and maximising profits. Taking on this role has greatly improved my leadership and managerial skills and has created a better brand awareness.
I was mainly working in The Courier department at Next Directory, dealing with customer order inquires. This involved leasing with customers and an external courier company to locate and ensure swift delivery of customer orders. This job has tremendously improved my phone manner and professionalism in dealing with clients.
Working for a company who specialises in a specific segment of the retail industry, having exceptional customer service skills and extensive product knowledge were vital. This role required me to be flexible with my working pattern and duties. Handling customer inquiries over the phone checking stock through the in house system as well as offering customer’s advice were all day to day practice.
