• Creating and developing top-selling repeat and print placements in established supplier. Clients included M&S, Tesco, Amazon Fashion etc.
• Colour reduction and artwork separation. Colour standard and pantone matching for colour accuracy.
• Trend analysis and layout design of shop and catwalk reports
• Daily communication with Far East factories, liaising with merchandising teams to ensure prints adhere to retailer’s standards for colour and print registration.
• Frequent internal meeting with account and design managers, as well as external meetings with buyers.
Textile Designer

• Designing original print designs for retailers and high-street suppliers. Clients included RomanOriginals etc.
• Interpreting vintage and store-bought prints for design development.
• Executing pattern and placement repeats within set screen sizes.
• Colour separation using NedGraphics software, colour matching sample hangers with paper CADS.

Design concepts; Technical pattern cutting and Construction; Knit textiles and Construction; Presentation layouts and Illustration; Professional practice and Market Research.These are taught through workshops, demonstrations and projects which cover children’s wear, women’s wear and men’s wear. Drawing, I.T. and Critical and Contextual Studies are also covered. Students partake in market research trips to Dublin and London and also participate in selected competitions and exhibitions.
