About me
Hi! I’m Valentina Castro Valdez. I initially studied Fashion Design in Argentina. In 2016, after finishing my degree I moved to London, where I worked in this industry for five years. As a craft lover, I worked designing and making wedding dresses, jewellery and bespoke designs. But as a genuinely curious mind, in 2020 I decided that I needed to go beyond this, as I find it fascinating to create strong visual concepts and brand identities. In July 2022, I graduated from my Graphic Design course at Shillington and I'm now looking forward to putting all my crafty, conceptual and digital skills to use. My approach to design is playful and adventurous much like my personality. I aim for impactful and authentic results.

An experience where reality flickers and curiosity grows. The solution: Sui Generis is a Latin expression that translates to “of its own kind.” The identity was created to wake up people's curiosity and imagine in advance everything they could live and feel during those days. With its mysterious and secretive tone of voice, Sui Generis is hard to resist
  • Oktaaf Branding
Oktaaf BrandingThe challenge: Manual artisanship vs. digital storytelling, ancient artefacts vs. contemporary designs. Oktaaf is a brand of unexpected connections. They carefully select small historical artefacts, to integrate them into wearable, contemporary jewellery. I created an identity that would reflect this in a minimalistic and clever way. The solution: As Oktaaf highlights "history is identity." Taking this as a source of inspiration the logo combines a contemporary Serif font as well as the symbols
