Notion is a platform which showcases established musicians, up and coming musicians along with influencers by sharing their work through creative story telling.
- As the Producer I oversee the entire of print and online production: From booking teams; to overseeing the shoots; to ensuring the delivery of final assets. This requires an advanced level of organisational and managerial skills. Working through the entire life cycle of production, from initial concept to print, requires a very sharp eye to produce content of excellent quality consistently.
- I work in a fast passed environment overseeing and managing numerous editorials which are often executed under tight deadlines due to print and online having a fast turnaround. My time management skillset means that schedules are set to ensure we meet deadlines.
- Due to the vast amount of shoots and range of artists Notion works with I am always scouting for new teams to work with to create interesting and engaging content i.e. photographers, stylists, videographers, MUA, models etc. Researching and networking is key to find the best talent Notion can work with.
- Being point of contact for the editorial teams requires clear and strong communication, through any medium, this is an important attribute to have to make sure that all personals are all aligned with the task at hand.
- Manage the budget for both online and print. This includes allocating budget to cover all of our needs i.e. for equipment, film development, set design etc. Budget can at times be limited so it is my job to ensure it is spent as efficiently as possible.
- I also manage the production assistant who’s tasks are to look after the running of the studio, such as making sure equipment is maintained and keeping track of the bookings. A key satisfaction while being at Notion is seeing her knowledge and skillset grow by working with her to set and achieve goals.
